Three things that glow; Today, that’s an easy assignment for the Joy Dare Thankfulness journal! My mind sees my Photo Album and where the pictures will go: Red Rocks Glowing at sunset is the backdrop, my babydoll #1 standing with her pops, the joy radiating from her face (glowing?). When the group decides to go higher, I’m rallying kandice and Norman to go up with me ”it’s going to be a gorgeous view from up there! come on! it’s great exercise! it’s a once in a lifetime event!” and my clincher: ”The pictures will go in THE PHOTO ALBUM!”
None of those convincing reasons work, except on my sweet son in law Jason. ”I’ll go with you!” and we head on up with the rest of the group. Stopping to take a look at the majestic views, my eyes move down and a glowing moment meets my eyes: pops and his firstborn, his arm around her, camera at arms length taking selfies. Joy, laughter, a glow that said ”today is a great day because I get to be with my daughter. I will relish this moment.”
And the view from above is indeed breathtaking; but the best view is watching father and daughter sitting together, two little specks in the vastness of Red Rocks Arizona.
